OUR ORGANIZATIONS

HAPPY FOLLOWERS:
Was organized in 1975 and activities center around social activities, church sponsored suppers, and community projects.
Two of our largest events are sponsoring the Easter Breakfast and making homemade ice cream to sell at the Swedish Midsummer Celebration in June.

JUST YOUNGER KIDS (JYK)
provides opportunities for social and service activities for children grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Activities include crafts, bowling, sledding, Halloween and Christmas parties, and singing to shut-ins. Meetings 6-8 times yearly.

LUTHERAN MEN IN MISSION (LMM)
This group is the men's Ministry of the ELCA and is for men of all ages. Projects have included a Fisherman's Breakfast at Thomas Park during the Swedish Midsummer Celebration in June; annual Mother's Day Breakfast; co-sponsor with WELCA a congregational Christmas party and financial support and involvement in various other projects. The LMM meets the second Saturday of the month at 8 a.m. for breakfast and a meeting.

WOMEN OF THE EVANGELICAL LUTEHER CHURCH IN AMERICA (WELCA)
This group is the women's ministry of the ELCA and for women of all ages. Activities have included providing financial support for various projects; promoting fellowship and support through various social activities; providing support and financial assistance to various ministries on a local, community, and world-wide basis; and supporting one another spiritually through retreats and programs. Some projects have included Senior Lutherans Dinner, Fun Fair, Swedish Suppers, Food Sales, and Lutheran World Relief Kits. WELCA meets on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. from November to April and at 6:30 p.m. from May to October.
